Electronic Solutions

We can provide you with custom electronic product research and development. This means that we will design a circuit or a product to meet your specific requirements. We will build and test the prototype and will produce small quantities of the product for you, ourselves. Once the development is complete, we can, if required, "industrialise" the product and submit it for mass production. Our electronic design service includes Assembler Programming of microcontrollers embedded in our products. Production Data Collection System The Production Data Collection System was designed to record the progress of jobs through a factory. The first system was installed at a large precision engineering company. Networked terminals with built-in barcode readers, alpha-numeric LCD displays and keypads are used to clock on, off and to record diversions - reasons why the job cannot continue such as breakdowns, lack of raw materials and so on. Each employee has been issued with an ID card with a barcode and job cards with barcodes for each operation are used to capture information quickly. The system is integrated with the JobBoss Job Control package and captures progress information on its behalf.

Access Control Systems We have designed a number of access control units. These units are generally added to existing access control systems to provide specific control. For example, we have designed a unit that monitors two card readers and controls either a double door security booth or a turnstile whilst providing the correct signals for the access control system. This system was installed at Metropolitan Life in Cape Town. Power Supply Units We have designed various power supplies both for our products and in response to our client's requests for specialised power solutions.
